According to reports, the issues began with “significant error rates” for requests made to Amazon’s DynamoDB data storage service in the US-EAST-1 Region, which is hosted in northern Virginia. The problem has since cascaded to affect other AWS services in the same region, creating a domino effect across the digital ecosystem.
