According to MacRumors, Apple just dropped firmware updates for multiple accessories including the 140W USB-C Power Adapter, Magic Trackpad 2, USB-C Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboards with Touch ID. The USB-C versions of the Magic Trackpad and Keyboards that launched in October 2024 are getting their very first firmware updates since release. The USB-C Magic Trackpad jumped from version 3.1.1 to 3.1.9, while the keyboards moved from 3.1.4 to 3.1.9. Magic Trackpad 2 owners saw an update from 3.1.1 to 3.1.8, and the 140W power adapter got bumped from firmware 1.4.73 to 1.4.84. Here’s the thing – Apple didn’t provide any release notes. Zero details about what these firmware updates actually do. But looking at the version numbers, we’re talking about pretty minor bumps.
