Galaxy S26 design leaks again, this time via magnetic cases - Professional coverage

According to GSM Arena, leaker Evan Blass has shared official-looking renders of UAG magnetic cases for the entire Samsung Galaxy S26 lineup, including the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. The images clearly reveal the rear designs and camera modules of all three models, which appear slightly different from the current Galaxy S25 series. The standard and Plus models share a similar triple-camera layout, while the Ultra retains a quad-camera setup. The cases feature a prominent ring for magnets because the entire S26 lineup is expected to support the new Qi2 wireless charging standard. Samsung itself is also expected to launch official magnetic cases alongside the phones, which are rumored for a release in early 2025.

The never-ending leak cycle

Look, at this point, we’ve basically seen the Galaxy S26 from every angle except the inside of the box. Case leaks, especially from big accessory makers like UAG, are about as close to a final confirmation as you can get before the official unveiling. The design language here is… fine. It’s an evolution, not a revolution. But here’s the thing that actually matters in these renders: the big magnetic ring. That’s the real story.

Qi2 is the real news

So Samsung is finally, *finally* jumping on the MagSafe train with Qi2. It’s about time. Apple’s magnetic ecosystem for the iPhone has been a massive success for third-party accessories, and Android has been lagging. By building Qi2 into the S26 series, Samsung is not just adding a feature—it’s trying to kickstart an entire accessory market for its flagship phones. They’ll sell their own magnetic cases and a 25W wireless charger, but the floodgates open for everyone else. This is a smart, ecosystem-play that’s more significant than a slightly tweaked camera bump.

Winners and losers

Who wins? Third-party accessory makers, immediately. A standardized magnetic system on the world’s best-selling Android flagship is a goldmine. Companies that already make MagSafe gear can easily pivot. Who might feel a pinch? Well, any wireless charger or power bank that isn’t Qi2-compatible just got a bit less future-proof. Samsung is effectively making the magnet a non-negotiable part of the “premium” wireless charging experience on its phones going forward. It also subtly pressures other Android manufacturers to follow suit or risk looking behind the times. The competitive landscape for phone accessories is about to get a lot more… attractive.
